Should you pay people who work in your organization?
Absolutely. While your group may start off as an all-volunteer effort, at some point you’re going to need to bring on paid staff — at least part time! — in order to grow.
And there’s nothing wrong with paying competitive wages. You’ll attract more talent — after all, even rock star nonprofit folks have families to support.
